This morning Theodore was breathing heavy(mum said it looked like she had hiccups) and didnt really want to move but within an hour she was fine and ready for breakfast. This afternoon I noticed Peppa is breathing heavy and although she is still following Theodore around their pen she keeps lying down and doesn't seem to be interested in eating. I have searched the internet for her symptoms but nothing seems to match up. They were eating some weeds yesterday, one of which has 5 furry leaves on the ends of stalks that grow mostly along the ground. I cannot find a picture of this plant but have been told it may be creeping buttercup which I have since found out can be poisonous to guinea pigs. Does anyone know what plant this is, or what may be wrong with our Peppa? |

Peppa passed away last night. I would still like to know if anyone can identify this weed and warn any other guinea owners to be careful of unrecognised plants that their pets may be munching on. |
